SMART TOOLS for designers, test
and production engineers

universal programming and testing tools from small applications to mass production

increase your productivity!

CANAVISIA promotes and supplies the Smart Tools by Seica series to electronics designers, test and production engineers for deployment as stand-alone solutions or embedded in integrated systems, from project development labs, prototype and pre-series manufacturing to high-volume production environments of assembled electronic boards and modules.

These tools are aimed at providing solutions to specific challenges of manufacturing and testing today’s electronics, based on the deep expertise that Seica has built in almost 40 years as a worldwide supplier of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) to the electronics industry at large.

From a complete, albeit extremely compact, test system to specialized tools for in-system programming of semiconductor devices and the functional test of LEDs, widely used on all kinds of circuit boards, the Smart Tools provide industry-grade solutions that are reliable, sustainable and maintainable, at a very competitive level of price/performance ratio.

IN SYSTEM PROGRAMMING TOOLS

device clip

UNIVERSAL: DeviceClip is a universal ISP (In-System Programming) tool designed for programming all types of semiconductor devices (microcontrollers, serial memories, programmable logic devices) from any semiconductor manufacturer.

MODULAR: The solution is modular and can be configured to provide up to 64 parallel, totally independent, multi-protocol ISP channels, and is provided with an embedded control panel compatible with any operating system. No host software installation is required: all you need to fully control DeviceClip is a browser.

SPEED: Its integrated high-performance microcomputer enables DeviceClip to reach the maximum programming speed of any device, and each channel within the module can be configured to support totally different targets ensuring an extremely high level of flexibility.

EASY INTEGRATION: The compact architecture of DeviceClip was designed for easy integration even in constrained spaces, for example complex test fixtures, allowing optimum placement close to the target devices.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Modular architecture
  • Up to 64 parallel ISP channels
  • Free App License
  • Comprehensive device support
  • Maximum programming speed
  • Excellent reliability
  • Reduced Manufacturing cost
  • Compact size (100 x 60 x 10 mm)

device clip BOX 64

DeviceClip Box64 allows you to join up to 16 devices simultaneously, thanks to the high modular architecture. It’s possible to create a programming system with the number of channels you need just connecting more platforms to form a DeviceClip Array.

ADVANTAGES:
Box64 contains 8 programmable power supplies for each DeviceClip. This greatly simplifies programming and allows you to power directly the device to program.
The DeviceClip Toolbox includes all the accessories needed to operate your system. The Toolbox content is adequate either in the case of a programming systems based on just one DeviceClip platform or if multiple platforms are being cascaded.

FUNCTIONAL TESTING TOOLS

mini 80

MINI 80 represents the maximum miniaturization of a full-feature ATE, with the flexibility of a truly open TEST platform. Available as a stand-alone system or in a 19” rack format, the MINI80 can be configured with the hardware and software modules to perform:

  • In-circuit test,
  • Functional test,
  • On-board programming,
  • Boundary-Scan test

Part of Seica’s VIVA Integrated Platform (VIP), the standard configuration includes:

  • ACL synthesized drive and sense instruments
  • VIVA management software
  • Up to 192 analog channels
  • Up to 32 hybrid channels (digital channel up to 10 MHz)
  • 1 User power supply (0-30V@1A)

VIVA is a full performance software environment, providing all of the performances needed to develop and execute:

  • In-circuit parametric and/or functional tests
  • Boundary-scan test management
  • Automatic programming with CAD data import
  • Self-test at the module level
  • Barcode and 2D code reading and automatic collection of statistical data

The VIP platform’s open architecture allows easy integration of off-the shelf instrumentation, and test sequences can be developed using the VIVA Test Studio environment as well as a wide range of third-party software including LabView©, TestStand©, C, and Python.

The MINI80 can be connected to manual standard or customized adapters and, unlike most self-manufactured “rack and stack” test beds, the MINI test solution includes complete user documentation and a self-diagnostic program, guaranteeing sustainability and maintainability over time, even in the case of resource turnover.

led TESTING TOOLS

led meter

The LED Meter tool for testing the LEDs that are commonly assembled on electronic boards.

This Smart Tool measures:

  • RGB
  • Hue
  • XY chromaticity
  • Color saturation
  • Relative intensity and wave length in nano meters.

LED Meter has a modular architecture for easy scalability, based on i2C communication: each control module can manage up to 64 sensors and is available in a TTL <> USB and RS232 version. The software included in the tool enables the acquisition of the selected channels, which are then shown on the screen of the host PC in a clear, easy to understand format.ED
